UCLA Health has been named among the best places to work by two publications specializing in business/leadership and health care, respectively: Forbes and Becker’s Healthcare.

The Forbes ranking for 2018 lists UCLA Health as one of America’s Best Midsize Employers. The ranking is based on an independent survey of more than 30,000 U.S. employees working for companies of at least 1,000 employees. The Forbes ranking, 43 in the nation among all industries, highlights the pride that UCLA Health employees have in their institution.

The Becker’s Healthcare listing, 150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare | 2018, focuses on hospitals, health systems and health care companies that promote diversity within the workforce, employee engagement and professional growth, and that offer benefits and opportunities for employees to build successful careers above and beyond the average health care provider or company. The publication developed the list based on nominations and editorial research.

Becker’s also featured Dr. John Mazziotta, vice chancellor for UCLA Health Sciences and CEO of UCLA Health, and Johnese Spisso, president of UCLA Health and CEO of the UCLA Hospital System, in its 2018 listing of 100 Great Leaders in Healthcare | 2018. Becker’s described the individuals on the list as those who work to improve the quality of care and to solve the toughest problems in health care.

Taken together, the three listings highlight UCLA Health’s overarching commitment to patient care and to the work environment.
