Dr. Umut Selamet earned her medical degree from Istanbul University Istanbul Medical Faculty. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Saint Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport Connecticut. She received her general Nephrology fellowship training at University of California San Diego. Dr. Selamet also completed OncoNephrology fellowship at University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and subspecializes both at general and onco-nephrology. Her clinical interests include managing kidney problems that cancer patients face due to chemotherapy and cancer itself.
Dr Selamet is an active member of Women in Nephrology, and she is one of the leaders of ASN Women’s Health and Research Community.
