Clinical Professor of Urology. Dr. Gritsch trained at UCLA and Harvard and specializes in renal and pancreas transplantation. He is the Surgical Director of the Kidney Transplant Program which has maintained 3 year graft survival rates which are statistically better than the national average for over 15 years (Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients - SRTR). The program is also the largest living donor exchange program in the nation. He has expertise in the transplantation of adult and pediatric patients with complex urinary reconstruction. His research interest is in the development of new ways of monitoring the immune system after transplant to reduce the risk of rejection and the complications of the immune suppressing drugs. More >
