Active Surveillance for Cancer of Prostate (ASCAP)

No more than 3 cores containing cancer

Low-power photomicrograph of prostate biopsy cores taken from a 68 y.o.man, showing one millimeter of one core with a well-differentiated adenocarcinoma (Gleason Grade 3+3=6) (arrows). Lesions like this one are commonly found on prostate biopsy. They usually are incidental findings, and the patients are good candidates for Active Surveillance.
