Lay Title: A PSMA-Targeted Prostate Biopsy Study
Technical Title: Evaluation of 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET guided prostate biopsy in men with suspicion of clinically significant prostate cancer and prior negative/inconclusive biopsy: A prospective exploratory study
Disease Type: Prostate Cancer (PCa)
Basic information: This prospective, exploratory clinical trial screened by 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT. PET is an established imaging technique that utilizes small amounts of radioactivity attached to very minimal amounts of tracer. CT utilizes x-rays that traverse body from the outside. CT images provide an exact outline of organs and potential inflammatory tissue where it occurs in patient's body. Patients with positive focal 68Ga-PSMA-11 uptake within the prostate will undergo a targeted prostate fusion biopsy.
Research Procedures: This trial will enroll an estimated 30 patients
All patients will undergo a PSMA imaging with 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT. Participant duration will end following the 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT scan.
