Scientific Interests

Dr. Hong Zhou is the founding director of the Electron Imaging Center for Nanomachines at UCLA and a professor in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics. His group uses innovative cryogenic electron microscopy (cryoEM) and tomography (cryoET) to determine 3D structures of tumor viruses and protein-nucleic acid complexes involved in cancers.
