Dr. Su’s research program focuses on leveraging in vivo cell engineering to improve cancer treatment. She has developed an mRNA delivery system that can redirect influenza-specific T cells into anti-cancer CAR T cells directly within the body. Building on this platform, her group is working to enhance the antitumor efficacy of cancer-specific T cells through precise in vivo modulation. Another major research focus of her lab is engineering immune cells to reprogram the tumor microenvironment, with the goal of improving therapeutic responses in solid tumors. Ultimately, Dr. Su aims to translate the technologies developed in her lab into effective treatments that meaningfully benefit cancer patients.
