Scientific Interests

The Donaldson Lab focuses on interactions between the gut microbiome and epithelial cells. In particular, we are studying how homeostatic maintenance of this interface could be harnessed to prevent epithelial cancers. In the future, we hope our work can inform the design and deployment of microbiome-based therapies for cancer prevention.
