Scientific Interests

Dr. Wiersma's research activities have focused on medical robotics, high dose rate FLASH radiation therapy, preclinical small animal intensity modulated therapy (IMRT), treatment planning optimization, and quality assurance (QA) systems. He is interested in solving real-world medical problems that hold practical impact and can be translated into clinical solutions.
