Scientific Interests

Dr. Tran is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA with expertise and training in computational biology. Her research focuses on the early development of lung cancer. Dr. Tran studies genetic and microenvironment alteration associated with transformation from premalignancy to malignancy in non-small cell lung cancer. Her projects also aim to identify markers for early detection of lung cancer from liquid biopsy and CT images.
