About the LA Marathon, the LA Half-Marathon Charity Challenge, and the LA 5K
The UCLA Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation is proud to be an Official Charity Partner of the LA Marathon! We will have teams running and walking the LA Marathon (26.2 miles), the LA Half-Marathon Charity Challenge (13.7 miles*), and the LA 5K (3.1 miles). We'd love for you to join us!
LA 5K: Saturday March 6, 2027
The LA 5K will take place on March 6, 2027. This family-friendly 5K is open to participants of all ages and abilities, including runners, walkers and strollers. Experience an iconic run through Los Angeles as you run through beautiful Elysian Park before a rewarding finish set against the backdrop of world-famous Dodger Stadium. All participants will receive a race shirt, finishers medal, post-race refreshments and a truly unforgettable race experience. Each participant is asked to raise a minimum of $150. LA Half-Marathon Charity Challenge: Sunday March 7, 2027
The Charity Challenge Half Marathon is the exclusive half marathon within the Los Angeles Marathon where everyone participating is giving back! Limited to 1,100 participants, each runner/walker fundraises for an official charity partner while running from Dodger Stadium to Avenue of the Stars, passing LA’s charming neighborhoods and iconic landmarks over 13.7 miles.* Along the way, participants can take pride in knowing they’re making a difference - running for a cause and giving back with every step. All participants will receive a race shirt, finishers medal, refreshments and a truly unique race experience. Each participant is asked to raise a minimum of $650. To register, please click here.
*To reach Avenue of the Stars from Dodger Stadium, the distance is longer than an official half marathon. Your official finish time is recorded at 13.1 miles.
ASICS LA Marathon: Sunday March 7, 2027
The ASICS Los Angeles Marathon course takes you from Stadium to the Stars, showcasing the vibrant neighborhoods and famous landmarks of this dynamic city. Whether you're a seasoned marathoner or a first-time participant, the Los Angeles Marathon offers an unforgettable experience for runners of all levels. Highlights of the Los Angeles Marathon include the thrill of running through one of the world's most famous cities with world class operations and support, live entertainment and enthusiastic crowds cheering you on every step of the way, plus a participant t-shirt and finisher medal you'll be proud to show off!
