Specialized nutritional support throughout your cancer journey

Healthy lifestyle concept with diet and fitness on wooden boards

Our registered dietitians provide guidance to support your nutritional well-being before, during, and after cancer treatment. Nutrition services at the Simms/Mann Center are provided at no cost to UCLA Health patients receiving cancer care.

Your dietitian can help address many of the challenges that affect eating during cancer treatment, including nausea, taste or smell changes, appetite changes, constipation and difficulty swallowing. They also provide practical strategies for meal planning and maintaining your strength during treatment.

Consultation may include support with:

  • Cancer symptoms and treatment side effects, such as nausea, vomiting and constipation
  • Adjusting to change in appetite, taste or smell
  • Meal planning and recipe ideas
  • Reducing the risk of cancer recurrence following treatment
  • Managing treatment-related side effects
  • Maintaining weight and energy

We also offer nutrition-focused educational content, including recorded webinars and recipe resources. All nutrition-related webinars are free and open to anyone, regardless of patient status.
