About

Dr. Chen Xie is a rheumatologist who practices in downtown LA and at the Veterans Affairs Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Center. As a general rheumatologist, he enjoys caring for patients with all types of autoimmune and joint conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, spondyloarthropathies, lupus, vasculitis, and scleroderma. He is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology.

Dr. Xie treats each patient as an individual and carefully listens to their story. His goal is to educate patients on their medical conditions and to understand their health care priorities so that together, they can develop a comprehensive, evidence-based care plan that is right for them.

Dr. Xie grew up in the Pacific Northwest and received his medical degree from University of Washington. He completed his internal medicine residency at Northwestern University, followed by his rheumatology fellowship at UCLA. He received his undergraduate degree from Amherst College.

When he’s not working, Dr. Xie enjoys spending quality time with his spouse and two sons.
