Dr. Jun moved from San Diego to attend college at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island then moved to Bronx, New York to attend medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. After obtaining his degrees, he came back to California and did his internal medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai and West LA Veterans Affairs Medical Centers. During his training, he developed particular interest in pulmonary and sleep physiologies and disorders. He decided to obtain further training at UCLA in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. At UCLA, he has been actively involved in sleep apnea research in patients with complex cardiac and pulmonary disorders.
Upon completion of his training, he stayed on as faculty at UCLA. He works primarily at the Burbank office and attends to patients with pulmonary and sleep disorders. Dr. Jun also works at Providence-St. Joseph's (Burbank), Barlow Respiratory Hospital (Echo Park), and Santa Monica-UCLA Hospital providing in-patient pulmonary and critical care needs. In addition, Dr. Jun will continue working with medical students, residents, and fellows, attending clinic at the VA and educating future clinicians.
Outside of work, Dr. Jun is an avid fan of soccer and also likes to spend time outdoors including biking and hiking.
