Isadore "Izzy" Nottolini, MD

Izzy (he/him/his) grew up in Hampshire, a small town outside of Chicago, and spent much of his life between Illinois and Florida. He attended the University of Central Florida for both undergrad and medical school, where he developed a love for teaching through chemistry education research, medical education research, serving in numerous peer education roles, and working as a laboratory instructor. Between undergrad and medical school, he also spent a year working at a medical home serving uninsured and underserved patients in Orlando.

Izzy was drawn to Med-Peds by a love of inpatient medicine, medical education, and the opportunity to care for patients at all stages of life.

He chose UCLA for the strong network of support from residents and faculty, the breadth of clinical and academic opportunities, and the chance to train in a new part of the country surrounded by people with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

His current career interests include combined adult and pediatric hospital medicine, academic medicine, medical education, and hematology/oncology, though he is excited to see where residency takes him! At UCLA, he serves on the Graduate Medical Education Committee and hopes to become involved in medical education projects during residency.

Outside of the hospital, Izzy loves visiting his local comic book shop, exploring LA’s seemingly endless coffee and food scenes, biking along Venice Beach, going to the gym, and trying new things with friends. His favorite shows to binge include Master of None, Regular Show, Ted Lasso, and Avatar: The Last Airbender.
