Dr. Jane Weinreb received her medical degree with AOA honors from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She subsequently did her Internal Medicine residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, followed by fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in Boston at the Longwood Program (Harvard), with Beth Israel Medical Center as her primary site.
Dr. Weinreb has devoted her career to clinical education and patient care, serving as the Program Director for Internal Medicine at the VA Greater Los Angeles, and subsequently serving as Program Director for the Endocrine Fellowship Training Program at the VA, the combined VA/Cedars Sinai Program, and ultimately at the UCLA/VA Program. She served as the block chair for the DGSOM year two endocrine course for nearly a decade and subsequently was the theme chair for the year one endocrine theme, updating and redesigning the curriculum to meet interactive learners' needs. Dr. Weinreb has served as the co-chair of the DGSOM Medical Education Committee as well as the co-chair of the DGSOM preclinical curriculum redesign committee. She currently serves as the chief of the division of Endocrinology at the VA Greater Los Angeles.
