About
Dr. Imir G. Metushi is Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Director of Clinical Toxicology and Therapeutic Drug Monitoring at UCLA Health. He also serves as Faculty Lead for the UCLA Olympic Analytical Laboratory. His work focuses on clinical toxicology, therapeutic drug monitoring, analytical chemistry, mass spectrometry, and laboratory test development.
Dr. Metushi earned his BS in Chemistry from York University and his PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Toronto, where he studied biomarkers of adverse drug reactions. He completed postdoctoral training at the La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology and a Clinical Chemistry fellowship at UC San Diego. Prior to joining UCLA, he served as a technical director at Labcorp.
