The Westwood Village Donor Center is conveniently located near the UCLA Campus and the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Our donor center offers a comfortable and pleasant environment where amazing acts of kindness happen each and everyday. This particular center is the largest of the two and provides essential blood products to our hospital patients. We welcome community members, visitors, faculty, staff, and students. Blood Donations

Monday - Friday: 7:00AM - 6:30PM
2nd Saturday of every month: 8:00AM - 1:30PM

Platelet Donations

Monday - Friday: 7:00AM - 5:30PM
Saturday: 7:00AM - 11:45AM


Parking Information:

Donor parking permits are provided at our Donor Center. If you need to obtain a parking permit, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. You may park temporarily behind the donor center to obtain parking permit and instructions when you check-in. 


Directions to the Westwood Village Donor Center:

From the 405 North

  • Exit Wilshire Blvd. East (towards Westwood).
  • Turn left on Gayley Ave. (second light)
  • Make another left on Kinross St. (second light).

From the 405 South

  • Exit Wilshire Blvd East (towards Westwood).
  • Turn left on Gayley Ave. (third light)
  • Make another left on Kinross St. (second light).

Make the first right into Weyburn Place (an alley) and drive about half a block (north) to the donor center (on the right).


Access the Donor Center from Weyburn Place (Alley):

Follow the directions above to get to the center. After turning left onto Kinross Avenue, make a quick right into Weyburn Place (an alleyway). We are located in a brick building that is halfway up the alley (going north) on the right hand side. Park temporarily behind our building, in one of the temporary parking spaces. Enter through the glass door and walk up the stairs to the second floor. Proceed down the hallway to the front desk and ask one of our staff members for a guest parking permit. Please follow the parking instructions provided by our staff members at the time you receive the parking permit to avoid a citation.

Additional Transportation Information:

Campus Shuttles: From campus and CHS, you are encouraged to ride the shuttle when you visit us to donate. Both the Campus Express and the Ackerman Express stop at lot 32, which is adjacent to the UCLA Blood & Platelet Center. There is a shuttle stop in front of the Medical Plaza buildings.

Driving to the Center: From the 405 Freeway, exit at Wilshire Blvd./Westwood. Go east on Wilshire to Gayley Avenue. Turn left (north) on Gayley. The Center is on the left side of the street two blocks north of Wilshire. The building is bright yellow.

Parking Information: Lot 32/36 is adjacent to the Donor Center. Lot 36 is an outside lot without stairs. NOTE: If you plan to park in either lots 32 or 36, we will need to provide you with a parking pass prior to your donation. Please speak with one of our staff members for instructions.

Directions to lots 32/36: After exiting the 405 at Wilshire, proceed east on Wilshire to Veteran Avenue. Turn left (north) and go to Kinross, the first street on the right. Turn right on Kinross and go to the entrance of either lot 32 or 36 depending on your parking pass. Leave the pass on your windshield.

Patient Shuttle: The patient shuttle from the Medical Plaza is available for all donors. Inquire at the Information desk in the 200 Medical Plaza Building. Handicapped Parking is located near the Donor Center.


The goal of the UCLA Blood & Platelet Center is to provide patients with safe blood collected from volunteer donors. Like all other facilities in the nation that collect blood, we must follow FDA rules about who may donate. To determine eligibility, visit our Eligibility Page.
