After completing his Advanced Aesthetic and Microsurgery Fellowship at The Mayo Clinic, Jaco H. Festekjian, MD, FACS joined the Department of Surgery and was appointed Health Sciences Clinical Professor and Quality Officer in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.  Dr. Festekjian is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery as well as the American College of Surgeons.

His areas of interest are the following:

Breast reconstruction: he offers immediate and delayed reconstruction procedures, inclusing free DIEP, SGAP, PAP, SIEA, muscle sparing TRAM flaps, latissimus dorsi flaps, and implant based reconstruction.  Dr. Festekjian has research interests in this clinical arena and has many publications.
