The first two years of the Child Neurology program concentrates on all aspects of pediatrics and includes experience with a variety of general and specialty pediatric programs in the UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital Pediatrics Department.

The final three years includes a comprehensive program giving the resident a broad exposure to neurological disorders in both children and adults.

All training is under the direct supervision of Pediatrics, Neurology and Child Neurology faculty.  The program is designed to allow the resident to grow and gain confidence with progressive expectations and responsibilities throughout the 5 years.  The goal of the program is to graduate an academic Child Neurologist with the ability to function independently.
