Weijun Zhang, DrPH, MS, BMed, is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine & Health Services Research at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and Director of International Collaboration and Community Engagement at the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine.
Dr. Zhang’s work focuses on building culturally responsive, community-engaged education and research programs that integrate evidence-based non-pharmacological and traditional East Asian medicine approaches into mainstream health systems. He leads multiple U.S.- and Asia-based collaborations spanning workforce development, medical education, and implementation science, with a particular emphasis on Asian health, mental health, and aging.
He has extensive experience designing academic–community partnerships, mentoring medical students and early-career scholars, and translating integrative health innovations into real-world community settings.
