Rocio Cruz leads media relations in the areas of Allergy and Immunology, Cardiology, Critical Care, Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, Nutrition, Obstetrics & Gynecology/Women's Health, Ophthalmology/Stein Eye Institute, Pathology, Pediatrics, Pharmacology, Pulmonology, Radiology, Nursing, and Sleep Medicine. Previously, Rocio served as the Communications Director in the Office of the Surgeon General, where she led media outreach for several major public health initiatives, including The Surgeon General’s Warning Label on Social Media, an updated Warning Label on Alcohol, a Surgeon General’s Report on Tobacco Disparities, and more. She also brings extensive experience in government communications from prior roles. Rocio is an alumna of the University of California, San Diego.
