Dr. Alanna Chau is a hospitalist practicing in the Santa Monica area, providing care in both inpatient and post-acute settings. She currently serves as Co-Lead of the St. John’s and Skilled Nursing Facility cohort within the UCLA Hospitalist group, where she helps oversee daily operations and serves as a skilled nursing facility medical director.
Dr. Chau’s approach to medicine emphasizes shared decision-making, delivering high-value care, and treating each patient holistically. A Los Angeles native, she is grateful to have returned home for her medical training and faculty career.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, toddler, and dog, exploring new restaurants, and continuing to develop her interests in plantkeeping and fishkeeping.
