About

Dr. Arielle (Sommer) Bilek is a general internist who practices in Torrance. She is board certified in internal medicine and sees both men and women of all ages above 18. As a primary care physician, she believes in the power of proactive preventative medicine, and enjoys counseling her patients on the science of how lifestyle factors (i.e., the foods we eat, our daily activities, and mental health) impact physical health. She aims to educate her patients in a way that is understandable and relevant, and that allows them to then make informed choices for their health that also fits into their lifestyle.

Dr. Bilek received her medical degree from Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, graduating with highest distinction and induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She then completed her internal medicine residency at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, where she completed certificate trainings in women’s health and quality and safety improvement.

Dr. Bilek is an instructor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and has been involved in various areas of education of both medical students and internal medicine residents. Dr. Bilek also serves as the Regional Medical Director for the Department of Medicine South Bay and Downtown Los Angeles Community practices where she oversees clinic operations and physician management for the primary care and specialty offices in the region.
