About

Dr. Bindi Nia is a Neurologist who practices in Calabasas. She is dual board certified in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology. 

Dr. Nia attended medical school at the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine (formerly UMDNJ). She completed her Neurology residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and then fellowship at NYP Weill Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Clinical Neurophysiology/Epilepsy. She additionally obtained her Bachelors of Art Degree at New York University and Masters of Science Degree in Global Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern California. 

After fellowship, Dr. Nia continued on as a clinical instructor on the EEG service at NYP Weill Cornell Medical Center, along with working as a community general Neurologist and Neurophysiologist in NYC prior to moving to the west coast and joining UCLA. 

Dr. Nia has presented at multiple conferences including at the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), American Epilepsy Society (AES), and the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS) annual meetings. She is passionate about delivering evidence-based and individualized patient care and strives to look at patients as a whole when creating treatment plans, understanding that each person’s individual experiences and diseases shape and influence their response to treatment. 

Dr. Nia was born in New York City and grew up on the Jersey Shore. When she is not working as a Neurologist, she enjoys spending time with her family and exploring all that California has to offer.
