About
Dr. Brandon Grimes is a pulmonologist and critical care physician who practices in Burbank, Westwood, Downtown LA, Santa Clarita and Porter Ranch. He also provides consultations and critical care services to patients hospitalized in Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center, Barlow Respiratory Hospital and Providence St. Joseph in Burbank. He is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care medicine, and has expertise in COPD/emphysema, bronchiectasis, lung nodules and lung cancer.
Dr. Grimes received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. He then completed his residency in internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he spent an additional year as chief resident. He completed a combined fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine at UCLA and also received his Master of Science in Clinical Research from UCLA through the STAR research program. He attended Brandeis University in Boston for his undergraduate education.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Grimes helped develop UCLA's lung nodule clinic. He also conducts lung cancer research, which has led to several publications investigating how lung cancer forms. He is actively involved in the clinical education of medical students, residents and fellows.
When he's not working, Dr. Grimes is an avid outdoorsman, who loves hiking, backpacking and snowboarding, as well as playing guitar and spending time with his family.
He is an active member of the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians.
