Dr. Smart joined the UCLA Department of Pathology as an assistant clinical professor in 2008 and is a board certified dermatopathologist who completed both her anatomic/clinical pathology residency and dermatopathology fellowship training at UCLA. Dr. Smart has a special interest in disease of the scalp, especially scarring alopecia. She also subspecializes in the diagnosis of cutaneous lymphomas, with an emphasis on the diagnosis of mycosis fungoides and its variants. Dr. Smart has an active teaching role in the Pathology and Dermatology departments.
