Dr. Chau Bui is a primary care sports medicine physician, currently working in the immediate care setting in Redondo Beach. Her clinical interests include sports medicine and osteopathic manipulative treatments. She is board certified in family medicine and sports medicine. Dr. Bui is the current team physician for the San Diego Legion major league rugby team. She has also performed physicals and evaluated athletes in the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center, provided sports medicine coverage at San Diego Padres games and San Diego State University sporting events, and served as a medical director at a Susan G. Koman breast cancer walk and at San Diego’s Rock N’ Roll Marathon. Dr. Bui received her medical degree from Touro University – California, School of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed her family medicine residency at Northridge Hospital Medical Center and her sports medicine fellowship at UC San Diego. She earlier received her bachelor’s degree in physiological sciences from UCLA. Dr. Bui was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine. She was born and raised in Orange County and has played sports all her life. When she’s not working, Dr. Bui enjoys playing basketball and rugby, mixed martial arts, Crossfit, baking and guitar.
