About

Dr. Chatterjee is a general and interventional cardiologist who primarily practices in Calabasas, and performs cardiac procedures in Thousand Oaks, Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, and UCLA Santa Monica Hospital. He has a passion for providing evidence based, patient-centered care, and strives to incorporate the latest evidence and technology into his practice.

Dr. Chatterjee manages cardiovascular disease on a broad spectrum, ranging from practicing preventive cardiology and cardiovascular risk reduction, to preoperative cardiac care, to treating cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, lipid disorders, coronary artery disease (ranging from angina to life threatening heart attacks), heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, valvular heart disease, pericardial and congenital heart disease. He is board certified in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology as well. As an interventional cardiologist he performs coronary angiograms and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), which involves balloon angioplasty and coronary stent placement. He also performs complex interventions including those with intravascular lithotripsy, atherectomy and mechanical support devices. He places an emphasis on using coronary physiology testing and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) to guide his coronary interventions and provide high quality, evidence-based care.

Dr. Chatterjee is a Southern California native, and completed all of his medical school, internal medicine, general cardiology, and interventional cardiology training at UCLA. He has a passion for medical education, having won several Outstanding Teaching Awards from the UCLA Internal Medicine residency program, and continues to play an active role in general and interventional cardiology fellow education at UCLA. He spends his free time with his wife and son at the beach, hiking, and enjoying the beautiful Southern California sunshine.
