About

Dr. Chatterjee is an interventional cardiologist who primarily practices in Calabasas, and performs cardiac procedures in Thousand Oaks, Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, and UCLA Santa Monica Hospital. He has a passion for providing evidence based, patient-centered care, and strives to incorporate the latest data and technology into his practice. He is board certified in interventional cardiology, general cardiology, nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography.

As an interventional cardiologist he performs coronary angiograms and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), which involves balloon angioplasty and coronary stent placement. He specializes in complex coronary interventions including those with intravascular lithotripsy, atherectomy, and high risk PCI utilizing Impella CP percutaneous left ventricular assist devices. He places an emphasis on using coronary physiology testing and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) to guide his coronary interventions and provide precision, cutting edge care.

He is an investigator in multiple active clinical trials in the interventional cardiology space, including studies of drug eluting balloons (DEB) for native coronary artery lesions, new devices to safely treat severely calcified coronary artery lesions, and investigational devices for refractory angina.

Dr. Chatterjee is a Southern California native, and completed all of his medical school, internal medicine, general cardiology, and interventional cardiology training at UCLA. He has a passion for medical education, having won several Outstanding Teaching Awards from the UCLA Internal Medicine residency program, and continues to play an active role in interventional cardiology fellow education at UCLA. He spends his free time with his wife and kids at the beach and enjoying the beautiful Southern California sunshine.
