Gavin Hui, MD

Dr. Gavin Hui is a board-certified hematologist-oncologist at UCLA Health who provides comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care for individuals with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Hematology/Oncology. Dr. Hui earned his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He completed his internal medicine residency at Stanford University and his fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology at UCLA. He received his undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Hui is actively involved in research at the intersection of oncology, artificial intelligence, and clinical informatics. His work focuses on leveraging data-driven and AI-enabled tools to improve cancer care delivery, patient education, and clinical decision-making, with an emphasis on safe, patient-centered implementation.

Dr. Hui speaks Cantonese and Mandarin and is deeply committed to serving the diverse communities of the San Gabriel Valley. Having spent his formative years in the region, he values building long-term, trusted relationships with patients and their families.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family and staying active.

Dr. Hui is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
