About

Dr. Gelabert is a Professor of Surgery in the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at UCLA.  He is certified with the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery, and in the Vascular Surgery specialty.

Dr. Gelabert has received numerous teaching awards and has contributed to the surgical literature with over 120 peer reviewed manuscripts, 96 national and international presentations, 58 text-book chapters and is co-editor of the textbook of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.  He has served on the editorial board of leading Vascular Surgery journals.

Dr. Gelabert is active in many surgical societies including a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, the Western Vascular Surgery Society, the Southern California Vascular Surgery Society, and the Southern California Chapter of the American College of Surgeons.

He is a recognized authority in the area of Dialysis Access and Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. He has lectured nationally and internationally on care of patients with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.
