About
Dr. Madison Harris is a board certified occupational therapist and Los Angeles native. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2016, her Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy in 2017, and her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy in 2018; all from the University of Southern California (USC). She has always had a passion for working with athletes, specifically those who are recovering from an injury or transitioning into retirement. During her undergraduate studies, Dr. Harris worked closely with the USC football team, serving as an intern athletic trainer for the team. She completed her doctoral residency with the UCLA Steve Tisch BrainSPORT program. While in the program, she developed an occupational therapy program focused on addressing symptom management with pediatric patients who have sustained a concussion. Dr. Harris continues to combine her love for pediatrics, sports and occupational therapy, helping children return to the activities they want and need to do on a daily basis after injury. She is proud to be a member of the UCLA Steve Tisch BrainSPORT Team.
Dr. Harris also developed a program to assist adolescent patients with epilepsy as they transition into adulthood. This program focuses on promoting a patient's independence in managing their health care and day to day tasks, while promoting engagement in meaningful activities. Madison join the Adolescent Epilepsy Center team in August 2017 and aspires to empower children to be independent while engaging in the tasks they want to and need to do.
