About
Dr. Michael Lazarus obtained his medical degree from the University of the Witwatersrand School of Health Sciences, Johannesburg South Africa. He completed internship, residency and chief residency at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He was a founding member of the first hospitalist group at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis in 2000. He joined the faculty at UCLA in 2003 and currently serves as the Medical Director of the UCLA Hospitalist Section. Dr. Lazarus board certified in Internal Medicine in 1998 and renewed his certification in 2008 and 2018.
