About

Dr. Pooya Bokhoor is a general and interventional cardiologist who practices in Santa Monica and Beverly Hills. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and nuclear cardiology, and sees patients in both the clinic and the hospital.

Dr. Bokhoor’s clinical interests include preventive cardiology, coronary artery disease, percutaneous coronary interventions/stenting, peripheral vascular disease, valvular heart disease, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, patent foramen oval (PFO), stress-induced cardiomyopathy, myocardial infarction, cholesterol disorders and diet and lifestyle modification to treat heart disease.

Dr. Bokhoor received his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he graduated at the top of his class and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his internship and internal medicine residency training at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where he received multiple teaching awards. He continued his training at UCLA with a fellowship in cardiovascular disease, and was named Chief Cardiology Fellow. He then completed additional training in interventional cardiology at UCLA, focusing on percutaneous coronary interventions, peripheral vascular interventions and transcatheter aortic valve replacement.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Bokhoor has completed research and published manuscripts on coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction, percutaneous coronary interventions, patent foramen oval and obstructive sleep apnea.
