Reece R. Doughty, MD

Dr. Reece Doughty is a hospitalist who practices at both the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center. He is board certified in internal medicine and primarily supervises and teaches medical students and resident physicians at these two hospitals during their inpatient internal medicine rotations.

Dr. Doughty received his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California and completed his internship and residency at UCLA, joining the faculty thereafter. He received his undergraduate education at the University of Notre Dame.

Dr. Doughty's interests include teaching the art of the physical exam including point of care ultrasound to improve physical exam skills, medical education utilizing the simulation lab, and educating residents on the challenges of life after residency as a young physician such as financial literacy and planning, preventing burnout, and managing work-life balance.
