About
Shadi Vahdat obtained her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY in 1998. She completed her internal medicine residency at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California. She joined the UCLA hospitalist group in 2007. In 2011 she finished a one year fellowship at UCLA East West Medical Center. Her interests include integrative medicine, acupuncture and holistic care. She will complete additional training in the UCLA Urban Zen Program in 2012. Urban Zen consists of a selection of “alternative therapy” approaches, designed to integrate with traditional medicine. The approaches consist of in-bed yoga, Reiki, aroma therapy, mindfulness / meditation, and can be effective for a variety of patient symptoms.
