About

Dr. Shipra Hingorany is a general cardiologist and the director of UCLA Health’s Women’s Heart Health Program in Santa Monica. Her clinical interests include women’s cardiovascular health, preventative cardiology, cardiac imaging, coronary artery disease, arrhythmia and valvular heart disease.

Dr. Hingorany is an advocate for her patients, who she encourages to stay involved in their medical care and work with her to make informed decisions about their health. She believes every woman should learn their family history and be screened for risk factors related to cardiovascular disease. She is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and cardiac CT.

Dr. Hingorany received her medical degree from New York Medical College, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her internal medicine residency at UCLA Medical Center and her cardiovascular disease fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. She was selected by the faculty as Chief Fellow, and was also recognized with the Excellence in Cardiology Fellowship Award in 2015. She earned her bachelor’s degree at UCLA.

Dr. Hingorany is an assistant professor in cardiology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and a member of the American College of Cardiology.
