About
Dr. Veronica Sullins earned her BS in Biological Sciences at Stanford University while playing soccer for the United States Youth and Women's National Teams. After finishing her professional soccer career, Dr. Sullins earned her MD at the UC San Diego School of Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and trained in pediatric surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, specializing in pediatric surgical oncology, thoracic surgery (thoracoscopic and open), repair of chest wall abnormalities, minimally invasive surgery for infants and children, anorectal malformations and Hirschsprung disease, neonatal surgery, and short bowel syndrome.
Dr. Sullins also serves as the Department of Surgery Wellness Officer, has an academic interest in resilience training in surgeons and surgical ethics, and performs translational research in bowel lengthening for pediatric short bowel syndrome.
