Vivek Kommineni, DPM

Dr. Vivek Kommineni is a podiatric surgeon specializing in limb preservation, diabetic foot care, and lower extremity trauma. Board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, he serves as an attending physician teaching UCLA residents at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, and the VA. His clinical interests include wound management, surgical reconstruction, and amputation prevention.

As a podiatric surgeon, my main aim is to help my patients maintain healthy, active feet, and whenever possible, prevent amputation. I’m dedicated to preserving limbs, providing diabetic foot care, aiding wound healing, and treating foot and ankle injuries from trauma. Many of my patients face challenging wounds or the impact of diabetes on their feet, so I make sure to fully understand each individual’s situation to collaboratively determine the best course of action, whether it involves advanced wound care, minimally invasive procedures, or surgery.

In my free time, I strive to stay active, cherish family moments, and explore new places—it’s a constant reminder of the mobility and quality of life I’m committed to helping my patients regain.
