Our section is responsible for the full range of musculoskeletal imaging modalities including plain radiography, CT, MRI, arthrography, ultrasound and bone and soft tissue biopsy.

As UCLA is a large referral center that includes medical facilities in Westwood and Santa Monica, our patient population provides a wide variety of pathology including musculoskeletal oncology, sports medicine, complex musculoskeletal trauma, arthroplasty, and rheumatologic disorders.

Our outpatient Musculoskeletal Radiology reading room is located next to the Orthopaedic Clinic, allowing direct consultation with the Orthopaedic Surgeons as needed. We have an excellent relationship with our Orthopods, and work closely with them in the clinical setting as well in conferences and research endeavors.

The Society of Skeletal Radiology (SSR) has established the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Imaging Fellowship Match, which will take place in the Spring of every year. The SSR serves as the sponsoring organization with the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) managing the match process. MSK will abide by the NRMP All In Policy, which means that all available fellowship positions at programs participating in the MSK Match must be listed and appointed through the Match, including positions filled by internal applicants.
