Responsibilities
As a clinical social worker at the Simms Mann Center I provide psychosocial support to patients and families that have been impacted by cancer. This includes emotional support, advocacy, psycho education and assisting with resources in the community. My goal is to be another layer of support within their team and to provide compassionate care as they undergo many of the challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis.

Training and Professional Experience
I graduated with a BA in Psychology from UC Davis . Upon graduation with my BA, I returned back home to Santa Barbara where I began working as a case manager for the Santa Barbara County Children’s Clinic. I had the opportunity to learn from talented clinicians who guided me and taught me incredible skills that I carry to this day. I earned my Masters of Social Work degree from California State University, Long Beach with a specialization in Integrated Health. I interned at Saint Mary’s Medical Center where I learned how much I enjoyed working in a medical setting as a mental health provider.
After graduating with my MSW, I moved back home and started working in hospice care. I realized what an honor it was to support patients and their families dealing with a chronic or terminal illness. I started working at Ridley-Tree Cancer Center in 2019 as an oncology social worker where I was introduced to the world of oncology care and found my passion in supporting patients who are undergoing cancer care. It is such an honor to have joined the Simms Mann team as an oncology social worker continuing my career in oncology alongside talented and caring colleagues.
Personal Interests
I enjoy the outdoors whether it is a day at the beach or a morning out hiking. One of my other passions is traveling and learning about new cultures while doing so. I enjoy going to concerts, watching sports games (Go Dodgers!) and exploring new places with my husband and daughter.
