ABOUT THIS GROUP

The purpose of this educational class is to assist women undergoing breast surgery at UCLA (lumpectomy, mastectomy, reconstruction) to prepare for their upcoming procedures.   The class will present a step by step outline of what to expect upon admission through the post operative period.  Patient questions and concerns will be addressed in a supportive environment, and participants will be provided with tools for better managing the medical, practical and emotional aspects of their upcoming surgery.
