Steamed Garlic Bok Choy

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups baby bok choy, washed
  • 1 Tbs oyster sauce (or vegetarian stir fry sauce)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp regular soy sauce (or light soy sauce)
  • ½ tsp sesame oil
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper (or white pepper)

Instructions:

  1. Combine garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, black pepper in a mixing bowl with baby bok choy. Mix until sauce coats each leaf. 
  2. Place a wired steam rack into a large wok or pot and fill with water up to below the rack. Put a large plate on the rack. Cover with lid and boil until steam escapes. Remove lid to release the steam. 
  3. Transfer seasoned bok choy onto plate in the pot/wok then cover and steam on medium heat for 5 minutes. 
  4. When bok choy leaves are vibrant green, remove from heat and mix with oyster sauce before serving.
