Andrew Shubov, M.D., obtained his medical degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine and subsequently completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. He completed his integrative medicine fellowship at the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine in 2015 and is currently full time faculty at both the Santa Monica and Westlake Village clinic sites.
His current interests include inpatient integrative medicine and is working to expand the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine into the UCLA hospital system in the coming years, although this service is currently not available. His research interests are focused at inpatient conditions such as advanced heart failure, autonomic dysfunction and chronic abdominal pain.
He currently works in the outpatient setting alongside patients' current medical providers by adding integrative therapeutic approaches to the care of chronic conditions including inflammatory bowel diseases, autoimmune disorders and chronic pain. He feels that the integrative East-West approach is an excellent companion to the modern medical approach as it incorporates the treatment of the whole individual as well as minimizes side effects of common modern therapies.
