If your TEP prosthesis comes out by accident, it is very important to quickly take specific steps.  Please read this document for step-by-step instructions.  Without your prosthesis in place, your puncture may close.  Food, liquid and saliva can enter your lungs from your TEP if your prosthesis is not in place.
