Dr. Hiyama has 32 years of experience in surgery, and 26 years of practice at UCLA which he brings into the care of his patients. He has an extensive experience in caring for patients with complex and challenging problems with great success. He has a special and personal interest in surgery for the treatment of diseases of the esophagus, stomach, liver and spleen. He always endeavors to track how his patients fare after surgery to continually make improvements in care he can provide.
