Patrick G. Frierson serves as Program Manager for the Department of Medicine Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, taking the lead on programming for staff. He earned undergraduate degrees from both Santa Ana College and Loyola Marymount University in Southern California. Patrick also completed coursework towards a doctoral degree from the University of Colorado Denver’s Clinical Health Psychology Program, studying the effects of racism on mental and physical health among Black male teens. Patrick has advanced equity, diversity, and inclusion throughout his academic and professional careers by utilizing data to identify opportunities for policy reformation and enhancement. Most recently, he served as a DEI Program Manager for a large company in the private sector. He is passionate about thinking critically and fostering environments of care and collaboration.
