The Hospitalist Division at VA Greater Los Angeles includes more than 20 physicians who provide exceptional inpatient care at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center. In addition to caring for Veterans, our hospitalists are deeply committed to training medical students and residents, and actively contribute to education, leadership, and scholarship at both UCLA and the VA.

Christopher Moriates, MD

Dr. Chris Moriates is the Chief of Hospital Medicine at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System and a Professor of Clinical Medicine at UCLA. He is also the Executive Director for the non-profit Costs of Care, which aims to cultivate change agents who will lead the creation of a more affordable and equitable health system.
