Linda Shin, MD
(R1)
Linda Shin completed her undergraduate studies in Human Biology at Stanford University and her medical degree at the California University of Science and Medicine. Motivated by her mother's experience with lung cancer, she developed a strong interest in Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine, particularly around chronic disease prevention and the structural and social determinants of health. She previously contributed to UCSF's Female Asian Never Smokers (FANS) Study, exploring the possible causes of lung cancer in this understudied population. In her career, she aims to bridge clinical practice with evidence-based public health interventions and policy to reduce health disparities and improve outcomes for diverse communities.
