The UC Women of Ortho are a group of orthopaedic leaders from five University of California campuses (UCSF, UC San Diego, UCLA, UC Davis, UC Irvine) who support the development of women's leadership in the field of orthopaedic surgery and orthopaedic care. We welcome all genders.

We support an open dialogue of ways to support and improve upon leadership training for women who pursue a career in orthopaedics. Our annual event is a one-day leadership summit. This year the UCLA Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is proud to be hosting the 2026 Annual Leadership Summit.

The annual conference brings together faculty, trainees, and leaders across the University of California system to advance professional development, mentorship, and collaboration in orthopaedic surgery. The event highlights the contributions of women in orthopaedics and provides a forum for discussion on leadership, career development, and equity in academic medicine.
